SGMS will be holding the Annual General Meeting on 4 December 2024.

Brought together leading experts, researchers, and healthcare professionals from across Asia and beyond to discuss the latest advancements in frailty and sarcopenia management. This event served as a platform for knowledge exchange, collaboration, and innovation in addressing two of the most critical challenges faced by aging populations: frailty and muscle loss (sarcopenia).

The second edition of EBPOM-ASIA was co-organised by the Singapore Society of Anaesthesiologists, the Geriatric Surgery Society of Singapore (GSSS) and the Society for Geriatric Medicine Singapore (SGMS). The organisers were delighted for the active participation and support of both local and international colleagues at this fully in-person conference following the COVID-19 pandemic.

This inaugural EBPOM-ASIA was co-organised by the Singapore Society of Anaesthesiologists, the Geriatric Surgery Society of Singapore (GSSS) and the Society for Geriatric Medicine Singapore (SGMS). The conference was graced by Director of Medical Services, Prof Benjamin Ong.

This was the first time the biennial event organised accross the Asia Pacific region in various countries was hosted in Singapore. The conference was graced by Minister of Health, Mr Gan Kim Yong and Senior Minister of State, MOH, Dr Amy Khor.
